Re: fa3_c58_outofthisworld
Pros: Really awesome premise, doesn't take itself too seriously, game length was "just right" (though we all died...if we'd lived the length might have dragged on, not sure though) , good use of alternate textures for the enemy (were they CSAT with VR textures or VR guys with CSAT weapons?) . All o...

Re: fa3_c54_into_the_woods_v1
I had fun. It seemed like a good, solid mission from my perspective. No bugs that I noticed. The only room-for-improvement I can think of might be that I would have liked a little more urgency at the end, as if the enemy had figured out that we were fleeing with the data and sent out a wave of enemi...

Unrelated Note: I can't view these forum youtube links using firefox. :-/ Into the Woods I spawned in as a UAV operator, entrusted with a high tech rotocopter. Within seconds of take-off, my little robotic friend was the victim of an unprovoked and violent assault from a capitalist, technology-hati...

Christmas Challenge 2015
In many parts of the world, this time of year is associated with degenerate capitalist gift-giving. Naturally, here in glorious agrarian utopia we shun these obscene imperialist traditions and embrace communal poverty contests which bring us all together (just like the quarterly execution picnics th...

Re: fa3_c69_chain_lightning
I found the camps to be underpopulated. This was my impression as well. The "camp #X is cleared" hints were a nice touch. I think it has potential, but it seemed a tad long, probably a perception due to being light on enemies. I understand that length should probably have been mitigated by troops "...

Re: [Tue] 01 Dec 2015 (Safety Stuck On)
Bugs were to be expected, given the same day patch and all. Don't fret overly about over-Zeusing MSR Delfinaki, shit happens. Also, the rules were a bit confusing. It's my firm belief that a mission shouldn't have rules. The mission itself should be self-enforcing. All that said... Puddle Jumpers = ...

Lots of fun as always. The highlight of the night for me was "a brilliant strategy that failed immediately and succeeded gloriously." Aka, the session of Inter IV with Fer as our lead (7 attackers vs 4 defenders, I believe). He split our forces into two fire teams coming from different directions. T...

Re: [Tues] 24 Nov 2015 (Infanterrifying Encounters)
"A Box in a Box" saw me getting that promotion I'd always wanted when Madrak's blood erupted in a glorious fountain befitting the death of a true soldier. :hist101: Tragically, having been elevated to the lofty heights of FTL, I had no clue what to do, as I never pay attention during the "here's wha...

Re: Can mission makers use DLC content?
Thanks Pooter. Just a follow-up to make sure I understand this: so if I start a player in the "driver" slot of a DLC helicopter/kart or armed with a DLC weapon, then they can fly/drive/shoot just as if they owned the DLC. However, if they get out of the helicopter/kart or drop their weapon, then the...

Can mission makers use DLC content?
Pretty much what it says in the title. I didn't see this addressed in the forum anywhere. Can mission makers use DLC-specific content? Or are missions expected to be 100% base game only?
Thanks!
Thanks!
