Re: [Sun] 16 Sep 2013 (Never mind the new toys)

Gents, I completely appreciate that both the high turn-out and the technical issues were utterly unexpected and didn't help comms discipline on TS. I aslo appreciate that had I not double-launched A3 and broken Steam in the process, I may well have go on the server before the initial 48 player limit...

Re: [Sun] 16 Sep 2013 (Never mind the new toys)

Perhaps we can allow people that have never fired up the MP interface for A3 before a lit more time and consideration next time. In my excitement to fire up A3 I managed to launch 2 instances of the game which Steam didn't care for at all and promptly crashed, so I arrived on the server later than m...

Keybindings For A3? How Are People Controlling Stance?

Having not used A3 apart from a quick graphics test (I've not even played through the showcases) so I have no idea what keys make sense to bind to the Stance controls. I did have a quick look at Dslyecxi's settings, but even his basic controls are way different from the A2 setup I'm familiar with an...

Rook Valley Part 1. Goose 3 Crew Chief/Gunner - Pilot : Phoenix It was all going so nicely and then a Fat Fingers/Action Menu moment saw me moving from the Co-Pilot's seat into the sky instead of the Crew Chiefs seat'. Alas, Wings, 1 pair, angels for the use of had not been issued by the FA QM befo...

Re: TrackIR Tips & Settings?

It should be fine as long as the receiver unit can be angled so that it can see all 3 of the LEDs on the headset mounted clip through your complete range of head movement. My receiver is around 10-15 cm above the centre LED on my track clip, so I don't see how being that distance below would be a pr...

Re: Version trouble + Beta patch

Make things a lot easier for yourself and use an Arma launcher which allows multiple presets.

Oh, I thought this was going to be one of those "when you can remember a 48K RAM pack for the ZX Spectrum being the 1337 gamers add-on.." threads.

Re: [Sun] 23 Jun 2013 (A PTSD experience)

What should be SOP for use of smoke to protect/mark the wounded player? Throw the smoke between the wounded and the enemy to screen, which wouldn't give the Medic a good location for the wounded and might expose the Medic to additional enemy fire? Drop the smoke right next to the wounded player whic...

Re: [Sun] 23 Jun 2013 (A PTSD experience)

A marvellous evening's entertainment and I managed to avoid Mr. Death all evening, though this is purely because Forest Gateaux was called before the bloody remnants of Bravo 2 (just myself at the very end) got shot up/mortared again. Fulcrum - OPFOR Bravo 1 AR FTL - Cuddlefish, AAR - Mr-Link, AT - ...
