using setHit on a T100 (or other MBT)

Post by Eagle_Eye »

So I had a nice idea for a quick mission. FIA have to clear out a tank graveyard in a valley in the aftermath of a big NATO/CSAT/AAF armor battle. The infantry have to escort a tank crew into the AO, find a working (but heavily damaged) tank, repair it, deal with any stragglers in the AO, and maybe use the tank to attack a roadblock at the end of the valley.

What I was trying to do was easily just have a damaged empty T100 tank spawn. What I found was that using the health/armor slider in the editor was no good, it would produce a banged up looking tank that drove and shot perfectly fine, and if the slider goes too far down (less than 10% say) the tank would just explode a few seconds into the mission.

I looked up setHit, and it sounds perfect (set the treads destroyed, along with the cannon) but I cannot find the right parts in the list of translations, and no relevant links around. I though maybe a previous Folk mission might have used this function before and could shed some light.

Basically I am looking for a way to have a nearly but not destroyed tank at mission start that I can have the players repair and use.
