Are there new session timings?

Post by SuicideKing »

Hey all,

So 29th March's session apparently started at 22:50 IST (according to the Steam announcement), two hours before usual.

Now, I believe DST is in effect in the UK, so that puts FA HQ at +1 GMT, but that should correspond to 23:50 for me.

Does that mean the FA session started at 18:20 UK time? If so, is this the new time or was it just a one-off change?

I would have used Skype to clarify this but it seems to be the biggest PITA since...the last biggest PITA.

Cheers!

That might have been the pre-session workshop maybe?

That started at 22:00, instead of the usual midnight. Everything was 2 hours earlier!

According to this: http://www.worldtimezone.com/
1930 UK time, corresponds with 0000 Indian time.

I know, hence my confusion. The Steam announcement was for 22:50 instead of 23:50, and the workshop was for 22:00 instead of 23:00.

Before DST/BST kicked in, it used to be 00:50 for sessions and 00:00 for workshops.

Did audiox accidentally set the Steam event an hour earlier or something?

Was the steam event early, or was the session itself early?

If just steam, then it's probably human error. If it's the actual session, then I believe you're facing some sort of temporal vortex. Unfortunately, I don't think the Party has standardized procedures to deal with temporal vortices.

Steam event was early, wanted to confirm about the session.

I couldn't attend, but I checked at around 23:55 and everyone was chilling in Team Speak's dead/limbo channel...didn't want to disturb slotting or anything so I just logged off...of course, doing that didn't really help clear any confusion on my end.

Anyway, I'm clear about what's happened now :P

Thanks!
