[xx][CORE] Kegetys Spectator Script

Post by harakka »

Initial assessment: change, needs more research. There seems to be a built in blackscreen after death -> seagull process now which messes with entering spectator mode.
Documentation: no change, if can be made to work at all
Me and him, we're from different ancient tribes. Now we're both almost extinct. Sometimes you gotta stick with the ancient ways, the old school ways. I know you understand me.

I don't have the link right here, but some dude on the bi forums made an A3 version of the Kegetys Spectator script from F2.
So it can be done!

Just a quick FTR, not done any actual testing on this.

For posterity, as mentioned on Skype earlier, the updated script that Strang posted functions perfectly, from the session conducted by PA last night. No glaring issues were noted, although it does appear that the map markers were removed, as well as the mini-map and unit-tags (There is, however, a lovely looking filter for spec mod Night Vision, that may or may not be new/a coincidence).

In the end, we've gone with head's version.

We have permission to use these modifications too if needed.

Figured this would be the best place to put it. So the spectactor script seems to be a bit bugged, in regards to alt-tabbing. Once I alt-tab and alt-tab back in, the screen is a mixture of white-blueish (during a night mission). Using nightvision just makes the whole thing go white, and disabling it doesn't help either. Going back into lobby, switching slots and coming back in did not fix things either.

Sorry no direct image, it's 1920 x 1080, don't want to kill the forums.
