The evening began with an updated, Zeus-enabled play-through of Surfin, in which mortars rained down upon our brave platoon and treacherous enemies lurked in reed-beds. Much horror was to be had, with the platoon eventually being ground down to three survivors. These lucky heroes were then forced to chase (or be chased by?) a tank around a small house, before an RPG delivered at point-blank range created maximum glory. Following this selfless act, the action moved to a coastal road in Littlest Ambush, during which we fought and destroyed an enemy convoy of trucks and at least one Marid. Drunk on success (or vodka), we then divided into two opposing teams and attempted to assault an AAF-held Pyrgos to locate and extract a defecting officer. Comrade Head was the lone CSAT operative to reach the officer in question, but we'll never know if he managed to escort the chap to safety because shortly after their meeting everyone on BLUFOR was killed, ending that play-trhrough of The 3-way Pyrgos. Finally, with our numbers down to a reinforced squad, we of course chose to face-off against the combined mights of the AAF and CSAT forces, in the no-retreat, no surrender festival of heroics that is Overrun. Naturally, it got down to a few survivors cowering in a house ... and that house collapsing.
Again, thank you to all comrades who came along tonight - I hope you enjoyed yourselves too. As ever, please post your thoughts, feedback, screenshots and video here - comrade YouTube Hero SuperU doesn't just produce our video idents, but provides leadership and guidance to propaganda artists. We also have a new YouTube channel that he manages so if you have any content you think should feature then let him know and he will sort you out, for more info check out this thread!; more guidance on video editing for Folk ARPS is provided by comrade Ferrard Carson. Posts in the AAR threads really help us (the hosts and mission makers), both with understanding how we can improve the experiences, and showing potential comrades what our sessions are like.
