Comrade Frozen, I deeply empathise, you had a
cruddy run of luck last night, you literally landed in the worst-hit fireteam on each mission. That being said, it wasn't all luck - some mistakes were made and will be appropriately dealt with
while in at least one or two other cases, the mission briefings needed some tweaks so that CO was more cognisant of the mission parameters and didn't
accidentally murder entire fireteams make tactical errors that were clearly visible in hindsight.
So In Manhunt the briefing didn't really stress the strength of the AI forces in the town clearly enough and we wound up hitting a very hot LZ as a result; and in Outpost Victor, well, Comrade Netkev is an evil murdering swine. And in Infantry Fighting Vehicles, A2's initial descent into that gully with the elephant grass was our mistake (specifically I mean A2 FTL for agreeing to it, myself as A1 FTL for not pointing out that A1 had absolutely no overwatch capability over A2 because of the terrain and visibility at that stage and that we weren't in place yet because we'd just cleared the compound and were scanning the terrain instead of getting into position; and ASL for not being able to listen to six conversations simultaneously and integrating them with the map and the terrain in front of him to make a coherent working plan for sixteen people on the fly against unknown AI enemies).
Contrary to what Comrade Boberro said, most folk runs aren't like that. Well. Most of Comrade Boberro's runs are like that, but he's a total n00b. We're mostly l33t. And it's usually a lot more fun.
(And afterparty is meant to be completely loony tunes to help blow off the steam from making a best effort at the preceding missions. They're not *quite* our Leeroy Jenkins moment, but they're close enough - think of them less as actual missions and more as a bunch of mates mucking about with a monopoly board after a few beers. Or whatever it is the kids mess about with when having beers these days, in my day we made do with a bottle of tequila and the floor, but you tell the young folks that nowadays and they won't believe you...)
