[Sun] 11 June 2023 (Hot Explosions, Hot LZs, Hot Everything!)

This night 13 brave pewpew'er fought (and died) alongside us for the glory of the Party.

First mission we went on a mission to assassinate a military dictator with a good dose of plausible-deniability. What wasn't deniable was our bodies strewn across the Altis countryside. Whoops!

Next up, we went in to secure some sensitive data from a downed VTOL with the aid of an IFV. We managed to get to and secure the data without too much issue. When we tried to leave with it, however, we got caught in a perfect ambush; lots on infantry and a HMG tech in front, a second HMG tech and a SPG tech behind. Despite being surrounded and the SPG lobbing rounds all around it, the IFV managed to limp to the drop off with the data but not many else.

After that we tried a bit of electronic warfare by taking a "device" to the solar power plant. Except we never made it to the power plant. After meeting stiff resistance enroute (and some crazy traffic) and losing most of the infantry, we high-tailed it out of there to try another day. At least the truck made it out intact (and definitely, 100%, totally our other vehicle as well. Unrelated note: there is now a surplus Prowler for sale, 3000 miles, only slightly waterlogged)

The mission after that saw us doing a very hot beach landing, storming up the mountain, and taking a CSAT comms centre. Went well, despite our friendly (AI) Marshalls trying to shell one of our FTs. Good job!

Lastly we High Speed/Low Dragged into a rebel compound to blow up some crates. Which we did, successfully! Well mostly; the last crate had to be blown by one of the pilots while the rest of the squad was dead/bleeding out (and the other pilot was a fireball). Said pilot then got downed while trying to GTFO, made a valiant effort to RTB while bleeding out, but then plunged into the sea as time ran out. So, we won, but at what cost?!

The missions we played:
  • A Splendid Day Out [Co-op]
  • Surfin' Bird [Co-op]
  • Burning Sunshine [Co-op]
  • The Silent Cartographer [Co-op]
  • HS,LD (II) [Co-op]

You may have noticed that some people have FA flags all over them. You may have thought "wow, what a cool guy! I want to be like them when I grow up!" Well, there's no need to grow up just yet. Instead, click on this link here and you too can have an FA flag of your own. (now with lots of extra cool designs to choose from!)

You can review the missions we played tonight to improve your combat effectiveness score, using our OCAP2 Mission Replay System, for which there is also a companion mod. Remember, the Party is always watching! And so are your friends. From the grave. Where you put them. You monster.
