First up we tried to escaped from Stratis with nothing but some pistols. Despite taking some heavy causalities as we cleared the final compound with the helicopters we were stealing (Marids are deadly), we managed to escape with some force left.
Next up we tried to do a hard and fast on 3 LDF comms positions with AT-strapped Recon units and an overwatching scout helo. Despite some initial success, we got whittled down after completing the first objective. A well placed rocket from an enemy helicopter ended any remaining hope of completing more objectives and we were forced to withdrawn, much reduced.
After that, we felt the impact of climate change on Altis as a mechanised unit tried to clear multiple AAF positions in a heavy snow storm with added fog. An early AT missile from the fog took out the command unit and set the stage for the friendly forces to be slowly taken out as we pushed forward. The Marshall was finally surrounded in the middle of a town, most friendly infantry either down or dead, and succumbed to one too many rockets. A final push by the recon team to rescue the downed infantry was well meaning, but ultimately hopeless.
Finally the USMC performed an amphibious assault on a heavily fortified island of the coast of Stratis in another climate change induced snow storm. Despite the heavy fortifications some well placed artillery strikes and a slow, methodical clearing approach ultimately saw the island cleared with minimal causalities.
