[Sun] 10 March 2024 (Get Out of Here Stalker!)

Post by Lord Palmzia »

14 daring Stalkers turned up tonight, only to be swallowed up by The Zone!

Our opening mission had us emerge from the ocean like a very drunk Godzilla to attack a NATO air base defended by SAM sites. Despite Hund deciding to fire off a single bullet into his own face, and Aquarius using up the division’s entire FAK supply, we managed to work our way around the island and capture it in honour of our Russian cousins!

Second mission saw our very brave VCR repair men taking to action as the simple radio malfunction turned out to be an AAF attack! Despite some well defended positions, and Oyst getting a very clear look into the inner workings of my brain (as is was splattered all over his face by a .50 cal), we managed to take out the treasonous Altese military and re-establish radio connection. We even ran down the last greenback scoundrel attempting to flee from us!

Up next, we took to Livonia to find out what caused NATO’s entire drone fleet to fall out of the sky. After some quick on-the-fly lessons in frequency triangulation, we set off and managed to pinpoint our first drone, only losing most of a fireteam to two Moras defending it! Afterwards, we looped around to avoid the defenders, coming up on the second [kzzt]...can’t see them with NVGs…[kzzt] …flashlight… [kzzt] MADRAK NO!! [kzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…]

Up next, we took to Livonia to find out just how strong NATO’s drone fleet was (on the ground). After immediately losing our “easy mode” IVF, we secured the robots, and unleashed them on the Russian occupiers! Despite performing beyond our wildest dreams, the drones couldn’t save us all, as we were slowly whittled down by stray bullets and roaming vehicles. Our robots had some pretty interesting firefights with the opposing AI though! This taught us that maybe we don’t have to be all that worried about AI taking over the world after all…
