Re: CAS/FAC Discussion

I think this is a small and close enough community that we kinda know who is shit with things and who isn't. If you need a pilot I can list of the top of my head at least 5 other than myself who I know could get the job done well. Idk about jtac since we've never really done it enough to see. I can ...

Re: CAS/FAC Discussion

idk where you bought your manpad from but 3km won't save you from much.

I'm a competent pilot and jtac :clint: , but we don't have it that often so meh.

Wouldn't we all. Personally I like flying the skid LBs because it's bitchin to land and drop off the team in those tiny spaces like back allies and courtyards.

Re: CAS/FAC Discussion

I think a good way to ''limit'' CAS was by special ROE, and that means a cooperative pilot to be sensible and not rack up all the kills. A way to implement CAS in a mission would be by limiting them with AA pods, so the infantry guys would have to go and sweep a whole area before the flyboys would ...

Re: CAS/FAC Discussion

The problem with CAS, as I best heard it described, is getting the CAS pilot and the ground force to be playing the same mission with the same goal, and not just both operating at the same time on the same map. Also in the limited time I was tinkering with missions, it's near impossible to put groun...

Re: [Mission feedback] The Colonels

if the players see the enemy general, they will absolutely concentrate on him, and him alone. And why/how should the tactics change if he looks like the rest of us or if he is like a sore thumb in a big area? You answered your own question right there. As a compromise you could make it something su...

Re: Joint Sunday Session w/ Project Awesome?

I think mission player count is something we've been running into a bit more recently, even with out the joint session. I think a sunday or two ago we had as many in the regular session as we did in the joint session. Need bigger missions. Which often means more ADV, as default orbat only has space ...

Re: Joint Sunday Session w/ Project Awesome?

Why don't you just say "Hey guys, every Sunday and Tuesday I play with this great group of guys. You should come join, all are welcome!"

Re: Joint Sunday Session w/ Project Awesome?

I'm a horrible person with a dirty mind. Every time I see "JO session" my first thought is "jerk off session". I blame that danm JO on trains craigslist picture that is floating around the internet. Before that I didn't even know what JO meant.

Re: [Mission feedback] The Colonels

From my little nest in the hill I didn't see much, but from what I hear aziz and azoz look just like everyone else on their teams. I'd give them unique models so they are more recognizable.
