Re: [Tue] 22 Aug 2017 (Marching Orders)

This was the first FA session I joined in years. It's been fun playing with all of you, if only for two missions. I was held back a bit by having forgotten the exact way FA handles talking (VOIP and TS3), since the majority of Arma games I've played in the last year or so used either ACRE or TFAR; a...

Re: Good small-scale coop missions by Folk ARPS mission make

Thanks, that sounds good. Is Wolfenswan still part of the community? I could drop him a message on Steam, but I'm not sure he responds to semi-random strangers. In general I prefer to play without Zeus - well, I've never played with Zeus, but I prefer to be a player among others, without the DM-styl...

Good small-scale coop missions by Folk ARPS mission makers?

Not sure if anyone remembers me, but I used to play the occasional Folk ARPS session and greatly enjoying them - but life got in the way and the Tuesday and Sunday slots no longer worked particularly well for me. (I'm still hoping to stop by once or twice this summer.) Anyway, I'm now running semi-r...

Re: Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

Quick follow-up, since I've thought about my mission in a bit more detail. I'll outline below what my ideas are, and any feedback would be much appreciated: BluFor setup: The squad starts at Balota Airfield near Chernogorsk, where BluFor has a small base. The squad has 8 playable units, including tw...

Re: Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

Thanks, that's all very useful. :) Concerning your point re: helo pilots getting bored, with the vague ideas I have in mind I could imagine that, say, a pilot/spotter team takes off first to recon the city while the remaining players (and possibly a bunch of AI) hop in a personnel carrier. By the ti...

Helping a beginner: small-scale coop with helicopters

First of all, full disclosure: it's been a while since I've played with Folk ARPS (though I'm hoping to get back one of these Tuesday evenings), I'm looking for some tips and feedback for small-scale missions for *gasp* a different group (a handful of people who are all new to Arma ), and *double ga...

Re: Question concerning spectator scripts

Great idea! Do we have a repository of the old missions somewhere?

Re: Question concerning spectator scripts

Something like that would be cool, though I wouldn't want to add a whole massive mod just for one kind of functionality. The ideal thing would be a small, simple mod that takes care of this particular thing, but I haven't found anything yet. Especially since the people I might be playing with are al...

Question concerning spectator scripts

Man, I haven't been able to play with you good people for the longest time, which is something I should remedy... In the meantime, though, I had a question; in my case, it's more particular to Arma 2/Operation Arrowhead than Arma 3 , but I was hoping the Party would allow me to ask without schedulin...

Re: GTA V with comrades

I had some very enjoyable GTA fun time with a couple of comrades over the weekend. However, I've found that while I can join and invite friends, I've yet to succeed joining any crew games, whether with this or any other crews. It worked well enough back on my trusty PS3, but on the PC? Joining crews...
