Re: [Sun] 18 Dec 2016 (Don't die without me)
This was one of our less glorious sessions. In posts , I was cut down in the first volley, our night time advance spotted. Posts has become more difficult since the lighting changes made the night darker, and people are tempted to turn their torches on. looking from above, after death, we were very ...

Two mmg teams will cure a multitude of sins. This was not a complicated mission to command-my two squad leaders had.much harder jobs). Sometimes the party makes it easy.

It's nice to see comrade Fer return to hosting positions again. Anyway: Bees someone's RAT : this was an interesting one, mostly because we advanced slowly and carefully enough that we didn't all horribly die (the normal state of bees), but man those gorgons. Interesting point: the lock on on the PC...

Re: fa3_c60_feintParryRiposte
Really fun and an ambitious mission. My thoughts: The CTRG can just be referred to as CTRG. In the campaign, I believe they are Naval trained with SDVs and scuba gear. (and Captain Miller is Royal Navy). Many special forces units are trained to carry out amphibious operations. A mission to seize the...

Surf's up FIA ASL (actually drove the technical) The irony was, Kas sneaking up on that rock meant we couldn't engage said rock with the .50, because I couldn't work out who was who on the rock face, so we got sniped by blufor's mmg. Well done Kas and Thomas Feint!Parry!Riposte CV commander marshal...

Re: [Tue] 31 May (I'm sure it'll be fine)
Beer Run went bad for a bunch of reasons, most of which were my fault, but I'd like to congratulate the AAF for a textbook encirclement. Also, I'd like to remind anyone who is dropped in to a command role unexpectedly that 1) to give an order, you have to say it out loud and not just think it. (am v...

Re: fa3_a76_beer_run
Not lased, but we were engaging a target that was stationary and bunched up. Was the purpose of including the drones to prevent people sitting on hill tops and encourage movement ? Or just to give JTAC an offensive weapon less powerful than the mortar HE/ gunships? Or just to educate people on the d...

Re: fa3_a76_beer_run
The UAV operator was useful for spotting targets, but the bomb that killed infor sniper team (and the other bomb that maybe killed some people? not sure?) was spotted by our sniper team then JTAC aimed through the binoculars. I think the issue was that because everyone was armed with 5.56, no-one bo...

Re: fa3_a76_beer_run
Cool idea, cool terrain. I don't know whether it was numbers or just a one off thing, but the JTAC s with bombs felt a bit overpowering.
