Re: Arma 3 Marksmen DLC out on April 8...
From what I gather the systems are similar but more catered to public, more forgiving gameplay. Revive is a respawn mechanic which allows you to "wait dead" at one place until a player comes along to pick you up. It's not a medical system in the sense of SWS or ARMA2 had it. Ah I see, thanks for th...

Re: Arma 3 Marksmen DLC out on April 8...
But What About End Game? Two sides fight against a common enemy to secure enough Intel - gathered by completing a number of small objectives - to identify a final 'End Game' objective. The game mode is comprised of 3 distinct phases: establishing an FOB, downloading intelligence and, finally, secur...

Re: [Sun] 15 Mar 2015 (Mothers don't surf)
You can disable the steam overlay in the steam settings. You lose the FPS indicator, but you gain FPS in return :D Yeah I may do that. I don't see the FPS indicator though, I've been looking for it for a long time, couldn't ever see it. Not terribly important (I just use FRAPS or something) but...i...

Re: Gaming rigs
Yeah, true...I just may have got a form of occupation so I think I should be able to upgrade too by November/December.
EDIT: Looks like there's new SSD hotness on the block.

Re: [Tue] 31 Mar 2015 (Surprising Victory)
Well, I just remember The Rundown well enough. So I thought I knew this mission well enough to lead A3 as FTL. After all, the last time I played this , it was the first session I had ever played with Folk ARPS, and the second mission of the night (read: I was less confused by what was happening). So...

Re: Gaming rigs
Yeah, of course it's RV4...but I don't know how much to separate the game and the engine, seeing that RV4 was made/upgraded for Arma 3 itself. And I think some of the blame lies with PhysX and its x87 floating point nonsense. And of course DX11. I wish I could dream about a DX12 upgrade for RV4, but...

Re: Gaming rigs
Exactly. New CPU and new SSD costs me about 200 euro. If that doesn't up my FPS enough, well, it's time to refresh the hardware at home anyway, so my current linux workbox (which is an old R61 laptop) will get repurposed for something else, my current gaming rig becomes my new linux workbox (and wi...

Re: Are there new session timings?
Was the steam event early, or was the session itself early? If just steam, then it's probably human error. If it's the actual session, then I believe you're facing some sort of temporal vortex. Unfortunately, I don't think the Party has standardized procedures to deal with temporal vortices. (Unlik...

Re: Are there new session timings?
According to this: http://www.worldtimezone.com/ 1930 UK time, corresponds with 0000 Indian time. I know, hence my confusion. The Steam announcement was for 22:50 instead of 23:50, and the workshop was for 22:00 instead of 23:00. Before DST/BST kicked in, it used to be 00:50 for sessions and 00:00 ...
