Re: [Sun] 11 Oct 2015 (First World Problems / Waffly Jesus)

Mutineers Alpha Squad Lead Our mission was to heroically charge the heavily defended main entrance to town. After some comms difficulties, we set off, Infantry dismounted in cover and we started clearing the Initial defended compound. approx 5 minutes later, comrade Kefirz gave the order to thunder...

Re: fa3_c52_mutineers

From a NATO squad leaders perspective: Are the divers supposed to be engineers? Because it would be really useful to have some engineers in this mission so the possibility of clearing the mines exists. Because my vehicle crew had to resort to mine clearing by machine gun (which is a bit gamey) It wo...

Re: fa3_c60_quds_radio_hour

Now we've played this mission a few times, I feel that things might run a little smoother if 4 of the Orcas were replaced with 2 Tarus. That would reduce the demand for helicopter pilots, allow logistics to run a little smoother and make things easier for the FAC. We would lose flexibility and firep...

Generally negotiable Bravo SL with Sparks (Medic) commanding Gaius (B1 Lead), Soviet (B2 lead), MMG and Sniper Bravo's orders: take the high ground and establish over watch. Nice and simple, well within my abilities. And then CO granted me the gift of two weapons attachments. At this point my brain...

Re: [Sun] 27 Sep 2015 (Goodbye, Tigershark)

I think the consensus from the pilots is that orbiting is a good thing, but it needs a little refining. I did consider giving everyone flight levels and running it like I was Heathrow Air Traffic Control, but I thought it might be a bit much. It was really useful as CO having 5 extra sets of eyes wi...

Re: [Sun] 27 Sep 2015 (Goodbye, Tigershark)

Great session. Goodbye Tigershark, you will be missed. pancho te MAT 1 Leader Tubby and I ended up on the left flank of alpha, doing all sorts of non MAT ish things like house clearing, and lots of MAT ish things like looking down a great height at angry men trying to kill our friends. Eventually, w...

Re: fa3_c40_ghosthawkdown

Would it be possible to mix this one up a little by having either alpha or bravo in gunboats, or would that be a separate mission?

Re: [Tue] 22 Sep 2015 (In which we won, somehow)

Ghost hawk down ASL/CO I's like to thank Darkchozo and Cookieh for some very good flying. I'd also like to thank everyone who died for being just the right number so we all fitted on the ghost hawk at the end. That felt like a quiet run of this mission, but I'm glad it went well. What worked well: ...

Re: fa3_a40_salt_flyers

This was fun: the only other possibility would be to have anyone who stays on the ground for more than a minute die, which would prevent helicopters landing safely, the gunners dismounting and bunkering up in the towers. That would keep it focused on heli v heli action.
