Re: [Sun] 16 Aug (Its raining choppers)

low tide bravo squad lead This went badly... My original plan was that bravo would advance on a broad line, to give everyone room to find cover in what looked like a relatively open plain. This didn't go well for several reasons: 1. The terrain was actually full of little gullies and defiles. What ...

Squirrels FIA MAT Gunner So, Nim and I are the key to blowing up this dastardly IFV eh? I even get a PCML? Well, this will be easy. 10 minutes of not finding a decent vantage point later... Eagle Eye: I have found the best vantage point ever! look at all the things I can see! IFV : (somewhere to th...

Re: fa3_c64_frinifracas

As of last night's session, this mission appears to be broken: The blufor safe zone does not appear on the map The golden gun does not appear : the VIP only has a took, and moving the took to the safe zone does not trigger victory. Also blufor alpha 2 assaultman was naked. Ralian insisists that he s...

Re: c32_rebelalliance_parts1-6

rebel alliance 6 The hmg striders in the squads are a bit fiddly to use. Not only do they mean a fireteam is split across two vehicles at the start, if you want to use it after dismount, it means detaching infantry from a fireteam to do so, which functionally renders it a separate manouver element ...

Re: [Sun] 26 Jul (HS;LD-APFSDS:IIa-FINAL3.pdf)

To my mind, this session was proof that an armed MRAP is best used as an independent attachment than a transport vehicle, especially in ORBAT 2015. IN MSR delfinaki, the strider was a powerful asset on its own and was useful for firepower, manouverability and recon with its powerful optics. In rebel...

Re: [Tue] 21 Jul 2015 (Welcome to success, i guess.)

Well that was exciting. hillside view BSL Luckily bravo had the simple job of proviiding base of fire . From our first position, we got a great view of the air support being shot down. Afterwards , we mostly stood on hills and got shot at while alpha did the hard work. Towards the end, we were order...

Re: [Sun] 12 Jul 2015 (Ghost Hawk Down, Sunny Side Up)

My overriding memory of this session is during Huzzah II , right at the start, when IFV 4 got attacked by AT from Katalaki. I saw two PCML missiles heading straight for us. One hit, but I think very aggressive evasive maneuvers (full reverse!) and smoke managed to defeat the second. Also, it appears...

Re: [Sun] 05 Jul 2015 (The ducklings have safely passed)

Buzzards MAT2 leader , A word of warning- MAT is basically useless against fast moving vehicles at close range puddle jumpers bravo vehiclecommander Dabbo did some top grade squad leading in this mission. The new orbat as it applies to mechanized infantry really helps with cooperation The Marid tho...

Re: [Tue] 30 Jun (Bodybus)

Fuel charges Blu for Alpha 2 lead Peasant is a sneaky bastard Yes. Leadership, in this case meant leaving Tigershark and Blip2 to their own devices. I did not expect that to work at all. But good plan Schismatix. Exodus note: there is no .338 mg ammo in the standard vehicle loadouts. If this is an ...
