Re: [Sun] 15 May 2016 (First time please be gentle)

Great session as always everyone. The missions we did were not easy (except for Idiots. that went pretty fast) Buzzard Alpha lead/CO Note to hosts: being alpha lead and CO is totally fine if there are relatively few elements. (like alpha and bravo. maybe one attachment.) (I need to do screen shots) ...

Re: [Tue] 10 May 2016 (Hammer and Tongs)

Quick series of notes: 1. Saw some new names. welcome to FolkARPS, hope you had a good time. Hope to see you again. 2. People seem a little nervous about leadership slots. Being an FTL is not as daunting as it might seem. Don't be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes. Everyone you see regularly...

Re: [Sun] 17 April 2016 - (Elite Military Cabinets)

Things that killed me this session:
1x Shoulder launched Titan
1x Adversarial terrorist.
1x Exploding helicopter (the LZ was clear when I recommended it)
1x Jet

Arma features I learnt about:
the civilian helicopter does not have rear seats
#manspreading.

Re: fa3_c58_maximum_impact

It was definitely a change in pace, and it's a nice bit of stratis to fight on. Having to push through a minefield is stretches the command muscles. It was very difficult to command with just one engineer though, as it meant only one path could be cut through the mines, which is what caused us to al...

Re: [Sun] 03 Jan 2016 (Road trip!)

To add on to Fer's post, the UGL counter barrage he describes? Delivered by a squad leader from 300m+ and not, strictly a counter barrage. The other nice thing about UGLs is that they're fairly quiet and there's no muzzle flash. (Blufor thought that Fer's UGL attack was in fact fire from an IFV at a...

Re: fa3_c52_bees

Sparks,

I love this mission but, after hearing Comrade Carson's opinion of the logistics in this mission, would it be cleaner to make it more HS;LD style, or at minimum pre-equip certain people with satchels?

Re: [Sun] 15 Nov 2015 (Kill or Bee killed)

Really good turnout, fun mission list, good night of Arma Generally negotiable Platoon Medic Honestly, I felt a bit surplus to requirements in this mission. But, you know, I picked the slot, and otherwise Ralian would have been super lonely. Lightning Strike Charlie 1 FTL This went pretty smoothly r...

Don't engage, wait for them to pass the [*rocket launched with wooooosh sound*] bridge... [*boom - rocket hitting the tank*] Yes. I fired when I fired because the convoy had stopped and infantry had started dismounting. I had a lock on the tank and didn't wanted to kill the tank before it started s...
