Re: c56_hedgehogs

Another thing you might consider is in addition to the AAF / CSAT manned fortifications, adding in AAF and CSAT vehicle wrecks to provide some more appreciable cover, maybe some crashed NATO aircraft too. Not all of them have to be wrecks either - some might be low-health, no-fuel, no-ammo vehicles ...

Re: Arma 3 on Windows 10

Can't speak for anyone else, but I got Win8.1 with my SSD upgrade with the intent of making a decision about Win10 right before the year deadline goes kaput. See, I'm a pretty late adopter, akin to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard: New technology is guarded by a minefield of bugs, and I'll let the fa...

Re: [Sun] 12 Jul 2015 (Ghost Hawk Down, Sunny Side Up)

Does anyone know what defeats lock from ATGMs in Arma? Is just smoke enough? Does the smoke do anything? The smoke doesn't do anything against the initial shot - ArmA's ATGMs have always been way too short ranged and way too fast to reflect their actual performance in real life , so ArmA's implemen...

Re: [Sun] 05 Jul 2015 (The ducklings have safely passed)

Buzzard (updated) Deployed as A2 FTL An oldie but a goodie, this mission saw a return to our tradition of long walks on a moonlit beach, trading barbs and tender backrubs as we worked up the courage to walk up to the AAF guards and admit our feelings. Alas, our love was unreciprocated, for they spa...

Re: fa3_c50_puddle_jumpers

Personally I thought the 40mm grenades added some great atmosphere. They effectively hampered the IFVs while not being too harsh on them with 1 hit deaths, and it kept the infantry on their toes. (Never did figure out if it was a GMG that was firing on us or just some UGLs, but a GMG would be a nic...

Pfft. All y'all young'uns and your less-confusable "Port". Back in my days, we called it "Larboard" and were happy about it!

Re: [Sun] 21 Jun 2015 (Kefirz, I love you)

The southern approach was simply bad in all aspects. Upon further reflection, I should've just pulled us back and found some good terrain from which to plink at you guys and peck away at the town. My reflexive move towards "use terrain to close distance and flank, and if that's not possible rely on ...
