I have been working on a large scale mission for the ACR and have noticed that the AR gunner doesnt have any ammo in or for his gun.
He has a M249 SAW from F2 standart and 5 M249 ammo boxes. Its the right caliber and everything is correct, but they dont show up on the hud nor is he able to actually fire the gun. I tried grabbing other boxes from the AAR but these didnt work either.
It doesnt matter if it is preview or a created game, the problem persists.

Re: Missing M249 Ammo for CZ
That appears to be the USMC A2 249 which only takes 200 round belts, the OA one takes both types.

Re: Missing M249 Ammo for CZ
Bodge is correct. For mostly pointless trivia, there are a number of weapons in A2 / OA / BAF based off of the FN Minimi. In order of appearance:
M249 SAW - Appearing in ArmA II, this is a bog-standard full-sized, iron-sighted M249 as issued to most American armed forces. It takes one specific 200-round box of 5.56x45mm NATO, and it can also feed from any magazine that can go into an M-16 (20 and 30 round STANAGs, both SD and not, the ridiculous Beta-C magazine, and any G36 clip). It's the least versatile of your M249 choices as a mission-maker because it doesn't have forward compatibility with ammo from Operation Arrowhead or British Armed Forces, but it's also the lowest tech, which is of interest to us in the Socialist Agrarian Utopia.
Mark 48 Mod 0 - An American modification to the M249 SAW, this is basically the American solution to everything: Make It Bigger (tm). It's an M249 SAW with a 7.62x51mm barrel and receiver, and is effectively a light-weight M240. It can only use 100-round M240 ammo boxes. This is mostly used for HSLD tacticool stuff, and is rarely touched by good sons and daughters of the revolution!
M249 Para - Is this the gun from Counter-Strike? Yes. Operation Arrowhead featured more of an emphasis on HSLD American ubermench completely crushing a poorly veiled stand-in for both Iraq and Afghanistan. As a result, they featured the "Para" variant of the SAW with a collapsible butt-stock. This had absolutely no effect on in-game anything, except that the Para variant takes 100-round 5.56x45mm bags instead of the 200-round boxes from A2. Very thankfully, the M249 Para is backwards compatible with the 200-round box from A2, and can still take any magazine that fits into an M16. The M249 Para also has two scoped variants, one with a really crappy range overlay, and one with thermal capabilities. Oh, and it's got a laser-beam. Doesn't kill anything with the laser, just marks stuff.
Mark 48 Mod 0 - Wait, again? No, this Mark 48 is special! See? It's available in Desert camouflage, not Woodland! Hey, come back, I've got a fantastic bridge in Brooklyn to show you!
L110A1 - WTF is this? You come at me with some strange, obviously foreign acronym and expect-- Oh, it's the M249 Para? With a 200-round box as default? And an aimpoint sight? And is still backwards compatible with everything 5.56x45mm related? And it's still got a laser-beam? Awesome. Wait, what'd'ya mean, it can't take 20-round STANAGs? HERESY!
And there you have it - those are all the FN Minimi variants available in Combined Operations. I seriously recommend never using the Operation Arrowhead 100-round bags unless you have an absolute hard-on for roleplaying.

Re: Missing M249 Ammo for CZ
I have a huge hardon for roleplaying, but I take that to the airsoft field during milsims
However, I have not changed any scripting inside the F2 CZ loadout and heres the script section for your enjoyment:
It adds 100Rnd wich only work with a BetaCMag. Nobody wants BetaCMags, it makes babies cry and poisons your water supply at night.
The correct code would be
or any of the following for ARmags
(20rnd, really? Dont get any funny ideas now)
Might be worth quickfixing, Bodge was right once again.

_AR = "M249"; _ARmag = "100Rnd_556x45_M249";

Why, we would never... That's the silliest idea ever, sillier than the IAR, sillier than the Bradley's procurement process, sillier than nuclear launch sequences!Mojo wrote:(20rnd, really? Dont get any funny ideas now)
Coincidentally, and out of no connection to a mission I'm certainly not making, did you know that an L110A1 firing a 20-round STANAG magazine sounds inexplicably like an M-16? Also that the SAW, the Para SAW, and the L110A1 all sound different, but it's dependent on the magazine you use? Someone didn't make ACE_SM idiot-proof!
QFT - then again, how often do we see the Czech?Mojo wrote:Might be worth quickfixing, Bodge was right once again.

Nobody wants to create the entire platoon, groups, markers and what not manuallyFerrard Carson wrote: QFT - then again, how often do we see the Czech?
Its the same with the zaney germans and such smaller factions with barely any content whatsoever. The czechs have a quite cool gun wich is useless at longer ranges, so they qualify perfectly for FA use
As for the mission you are totally not creating it seems to be a 20rnd AR assault on HMGs with BMP support. Maybe another Cholo?
