Vanilla+: Installing the Modpack manually

Post by Cam »

1. Download the mod-pack.
Mirror 1

2. Extract the zip file.

3. Install the Arma 2 OA beta.
Run the .exe file in the now unzipped folder, and be sure to run it as an administrator, which simply means right-clicking the installer and selecting the option “Run as Administrator”.

3. Drag the folders beginning with “@” into your ARMA 2 OA folder.
For those of you who use Steam, your ARMA 2 OA folder is likely to be something along the lines of:

Path_to_your_Steam_folder\SteamApps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead”

For those of you who don’t, the path is likely to be something along the lines of:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead”

4. Go to your @ACRE folder and move in all the files in the “Addons\plugin” folder into your “Teamspeak 3\plugins” folder.
Likely Teamspeak 3 plugins directory location:
“C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins”

5. Download Teamspeak 3.
Download link.

Please be aware that Teamspeak 3 version 3.0.13 and above removed direct input and may not be compatible with / break ACRE functions.Previous versions are still compatible - download 3.0.11.1 Here

6. Change your Teamspeak 3 shortcut, to make it always run as admin.
To do this, open up the shortcut you use for Teamspeak, and go to the “Compatibility” tab (selected at the top of the window). Tick the bottom box, “Run this program as an administrator”.

7. Change your hotkey settings to “Direct Input”.
In the Teamspeak window, click “Settings”, on the top-bar, and then click “Options”, the bottom option of the drop-down that should have appeared. In the next window, click the “Hotkeys” icon, on the left side of the screen, 9th icon down, and follow the instructions in this screenshot.

8. Run the game.
You can either do this by downloading a third-party launcher such as SpiritedMachines and using it to run all the mods you just installed, or by creating your own batch-file.
