In another solid turn-out, 32 brave comrades took up arms in the name of our socialist agrarian utopia. Except that for those comrades in Bravo (just about any Bravo) by 'took up arms' I mean, of course, 'died a horrible flaming death as the vehicle(s) they were travelling in collided with others and exploded killing everyone'. Which is why I'm now looking at a letter from the Party's insurance company, telling me our premiums have been doubled. Capitalists! Anyway, thank you all for coming, it was a great session and I hope you enjoyed it too. We were running some quiet tests of the latest F3 release candidate, and it's looking like comrade Head's improved spectator script and wounding system are going to become firm fixtures in our future. Thanks again to everyone for contributing to that!

As ever, please post your thoughts, feedback, screenshots and video here - comrade YouTube Hero SuperU doesn't just produce our video idents, but provides leadership and guidance to propaganda artists. We also have a new YouTube channel that he manages so if you have any content you think should feature then let him know and he will sort you out, for more info check out this thread!; more guidance on video editing for Folk ARPS is provided by comrade Ferrard Carson. Posts in the AAR threads really help us (the hosts and mission makers), both with understanding how we can improve the experiences, and showing potential comrades what our sessions are like.

I noticed a distinct lack of whizzing artillery shells and officer whistles in this mission. Still, it proved that drowning the enemy in human bodies is a valid tactic, even in the future. Might be fun to add a AAF attack helicopter, just because.

Hilltop
|-NATO A1 FTL

Observation 1: This place is terrible to defend. Who decided it would be a good idea to build a FOP here?
Observation 2: We're being suppressed from 500m away and have no reliable cover from where to return fire.

Conclusion: Let's hide behind the rocks and let the AI come to us!

Result: Get shot in the back by sneaky AI.

I think the mission has potential (reminding me of Fritz Frenzy). I'll post some notes in the feedback thread.

Die Rebel Scum
FIA scum proves no match for AAF lasers. NATO scum does prove a match for AAF tanks. As the NVG-less FIA didn't put up much of a fight (thanks to ASR_AI reducing AI spotting distance at night and further if they don't have NVGs), we could pretty much sit on the hill and take out everything we saw. Then again, winning a mission for once was a nice change of pace.

Crateresistance

A nice straight forward attack, solid team work by Indfor and spontaneous combustion by Blufor made for an entertaining mission. In a feeble attempt to even the playing field FIA even tried to ram me with their UAV, but it didn't prove a match for my arena-shooter honed strafing skills.

Teleporting just above the Stevie Wonder fog, I more or less ate a bullet right away, followed by most of the fireteam. Some healing later, we moved on, and got shot again, and rezzed again, and shot again, and...

Deciding to sidestep the majority of the enemy forces, my worry was that we'd lose some vehicles in that roadside ditch above Edessa. Luckily, that didn't happen. In fact, the driving was so impressive Bravo are getting a medal for it. Moving along, Alpha set up on the hillside, and started charging towards the hill, with NATO screaming their heads off about being overrun. We were rushing ahead, and ordered NATO to move to join us. At this point, the UAV informed me that enemy forces ahead of us are scarce, and that their vehicles have no guns. Before i could relay this, I heard two rockets go off, and was told that one of the two fireteams we still had decided to hike back uphil for more rockets ( :psyduck: ). So, with one fireteam left, and under constant fire, I was about to oh look a sold-[spectator].

AAF A3 RAT
Right off the bat, it seemed bravo were about to earn another medal. Luckily, we lived to drive another day, and advanced straight through a minefield. Dealing out the punishment from the hillside, we moved into the town and started clearing houses.

My vengeance shall be swift and terrible.

More medals! And more death. And a surprising amount of smoke, to be honest. I like it.

To be honest, even being pre-warned about the fog... only being able to see the ground propperly when crouching is a bit panic-inducting. However teleporting to what felt like mount everest (with less snow) just above the cloud layer in bright moonlight was sure a sight to behold.
Fighting uphill with inferior equipment however was as well. A swift attack where both Squadleaders led their men to success... i hope the Party is pleased with this performance.

Hilltop
NATO A2 FTL
Upon spawning i realized "Oh, soooo many rocks here, this'll be easy to defend!" just to realize a moment later "Uhmm... how are we supposed to keep teese many angles covered? Not to mention doing so while being pinned by snipers?" But then i saw the crates... CURSE YOU, SHINY GEAR SYNDROM!
But yeah, got myself a PCML to take out 2 HMG Ifrits in the north, then tried to hunker down and spot a bit for my AR, comrade AJAX, but we were not very successfull.
Things escalated quickly, and as quick i got passed up the chain. Nato lost about half their forces when i took command, i gathered the remains and retreated east. Another 2 Nato bodies later i found myself back-to-back with AJAX and another comrade, whose name i cant recall, to my utter shame. We hid behind a rock, picked off some CSAT and AAF warriors being bold enough to charge our last line of defence, waiting faithfull for FIA rescue squad...
That rescue squad came, consisting of the brave comrades Fer and (i believe) Head. What a force to behold!
After joining up with Fer, who dodged bullets like NEO when sprinting over that beach, we deployed smoke, pretended it was totally bulletproof, and sprinted to the defense lines of the FIA.
Allong this way, bullets impacted all around me, taking away comrade by comrade... i've seen my life flashing before my eyes, when i saw the muzzle flash of a sniper on the very hill that was once a Nato FOB... i witnessed the vapor trail of this bullet with my name on it... and i'll never forget the face of comrade Fer, pushing himself into its path and with that, me out of my asured doom...
Comrade...
Your sacrifice... was totaly in vain, cuz me and the 2 remaining FIAs couldn't drive for shit and crashed and burned on the way home, 20m from where FIA Bravo squads proof of similar driving skills will allways be remembered in my stories, witch i totally can tell evrywhere, cuz i totally survived, and the Party totally didn't made this up, cuz why should they lie to the public, i mean come on!

Die Rebel Scum
AAF B2 FTL
We were so eager to see Alpha geting into that minefield... but were disappointed when nothing happened.
The FIA and Nato have shown litte resistance to our glorious superior tactics.
A FUCKIN' TANK, BABY! :clint:

Crateresistance
AAF A1 FTL
I liked our initial plan and locations... just to see them overthrown by disconnects and spontaneous combustions on both sides.
Second attempt went much smoother. Got off the truck and suddenly couldn't decide wether to follow the plan or reinforce and attack. CO decided for the latter, but we had a lot of ground to cover. After arriving and catching breath, the remains of my FT charged a hill shack under some realy effective suppressing fire. So effective that i didnt had anything to do there anymore.
Blip on the UAV then guided me to an enemy position, and since these were occupied with the fire of the other FTs, A1 took them out no problem (tho i wasted quite a few mags, i believe)
VICTORY! 8-)
