[Sun] 28 October 2018 (Death from somewhere)

A disturbing 15 professional people accompanied me on a voyage of sorts.

Tonight, we carried out a precision simultaneous strike on the enemy front line and succeeded against all odds. Drove into enemy territory to play dodgems with Netkev's corpse (drivers please take care in vehicles, you are responsible for the lives of those in vehicles and around you). Used heavy assets to try and take out a smuggling operation, so we could muscle in on the territory afterwards I guess? Then tried "Valiantly" to eradicate some CSAT armour, but "something" went well? We tried to kill each other and one team succeeded, we then died (as is typical) against under trained forces. Finally we survived the civilian onslaught to succeed!

You might have played:
  • Operation Blender [Co-op]
  • Tail End Charlie [Co-op Zeus]
  • RLM - Part 4 [Co-op]
  • Nighthawks [Co-op Zeus]
  • Skirmish Tanoa [Adv.]
  • RLM - Part 2 [Co-op]
Players are reminded that anti-tank weapons are for anti-tank specialists, except in extreme circumstances.

Remember to check out, promote, and contribute to the Party YouTube channel using this elegant and finely-crafted link.

You can review the missions we played tonight to improve your combat effectiveness score, using our R3 Mission Replay System. Remember, the Party is always watching! And so are your friends. From the grave. Where you put them. You monster.

If you would like to get some help with becoming an excellent leader :commissar: why not check out the Leadership Programme? This will let you get direct access to a host who will be happy* to guide you through commanding a mission, especially if you have a cruel and devious plan.

You may have noticed that some people have FA flags all over them. You may have thought "wow, what a cool guy! I want to be like them when I grow up!" Well, there's no need to grow up just yet. Instead, click on this link here and you too can have an FA flag of your own.

One last thing! If you would like to contribute to the server fund that allows FA to keep running sessions, you can PayPal your last grubby potato to server-fund@folkarps.com, or click here to use the Party's new and improved organ donation service.

-Tail End Charlie

Ice and I had a lovely time driving around the countryside in the back of the convoy. The dawn was truly beautiful. For some reason, there was a gun mounted to our car, but I just made sure not to touch it, and no one got hurt. Well, except I heard there was a hit and run on a pedestrian in the area.

-RLM- Part 4
Everything was going fine until we encountered the enemy. We slowly crested a hill overlooking the first objective, and I was instantly shot dead. But I saw everyone looting my corpse from the afterlife, so I still feel like I contributed something.

-Nighthawks
I was commanding the Alpha Victory tank, which seemed like a cushy job: someone else does the main turret firing, someone else drives. But as we were safe behind cover just outside the first town waiting for the rest of the elements to patch up and catch up, half of our team was ambushed by an assassin tank, who seemed to favor especially killing those in command.

Which left me in command. After some hesitation, I promptly made Pooter CO. It was by far my best decision that mission. We had a cool duel around a house with another tank, and I learned that "C" is the key for popping smoke in a tank. After that, we basically forwarded and reversed up the same stretch of road about 10 times, drawing infantry fire, mowing them down, and repeating. But then we drew a tank our way, and bravely decided to joust with it. It certainly did not miss us at point blank range, but I'm pretty sure we disabled it before we died, so . . . success!

-Skirmish Tanoa
Our fireteam split up, and our element arrived at the lumberyard first and secured it. The other element got into a firefight at the houses down the road, and I swiveled that way, ready to flank anyone who popped out of them. Then I was shot in the back of the head. Repeatedly.

-RLM - Part 2

Pooter and I (and later AT Netkev) holed up in the top of a tower on the north side of the compound, and took out all the adversaries flowing in from the north-west road. There were many of them, including several explosive trucks (RIP Grumpy). It sounded like A2 was getting murdered down on the south side, but everything was sweetness and light on our end. I feel like with this mission I made up for all my previous mistakes this session. Except I couldn't get a hatch in the tower closed. But I did stop an explosive truck before it reached the compound!
